Chapter Eight.
After a journey for over what feels like an hour we finally seem to be coming to a halt, I do not know how long we have been on the road as I can not see my watch but I would guess it was well more than one hour, the truck has slowed and is turning into somewhere, from the sounds of it and it also sounds like a built up area as I could hear the truck engine more louder here than when we were out in the open countryside and you get the loud and not so loud sounds as the truck passes buildings and open areas.
I can also smell food, so I think there are some kind, of restaurants here as well and also the smell of fresh baked bread, all these smells cut through the smell of the cigarettes that the soldiers were busy smoking on the way here but these smells also indicate to me that we are inside a town I can also just make out light changes and assume these changes are from street lights.
The truck stops and the engine is switched off and the trucks tailgate is dropped down with a bang, I am now dragged off the truck and I can hear the boots of the soldiers as they jump of the back of the truck and start to drag me out and then drag me away into a building, I can hear talking around me and I am aware of lights that just about penetrate the hood that they have pulled over my head, they hold me for a few minutes in one area before we walk down a corridor, I am then pushed to the floor and hear a heavy steel door slam behind me and lock.
I take it that I am now inside a prison cell it is cold and from what I can see in my hood it looks like it is dark in here as well so I expect the lights are all out, I try and pull myself up off the floor as I am lay face down at the moment, I guess that I am the only one in here as no one has made an attempt to help me up or has spoken to me as of yet.
I roll over onto my back and sit myself up on the cold concrete floor and then I use my feet to push my back against the wall and using the limited amount of use on my hands to help guide myself I push with my legs until I manage to get my legs under my body then push with my legs until I am standing up.
I then walk slowly around the cell lifting my one leg up slightly to try and feel my way around, I am trying to see if there is somewhere to sit down but there is no where in here all I have is the floor, so I find the
